Our History ::
In 1997 Flex D Tech [FDT] developed the first detachable sensor.
Unlike the competition who produced sensors permanently connected to wires or
cables FDT developed a sensor that disconnected quickly.
Later that year FDT worked with Preco New
Products [ConectL] and co-developed the industry's first
ribbon cable electronic recoiler.
In 1998
FDT was awarded a patent for the unique
nature of the detachable sensor.
During that same year FDT introduced the
first wireless alarm module. These wireless alarm
modules communicated with a central panel that monitored
the status of the alarm units.
In 2001, after a customer request for a mechanical
locking apparatus to protect wireless products FDT
developed and launched
displayVISE.
In 2003
FDT introduced a top connect detachable
sensor and the universal recoiler plug that adapts
existing recoilers so they can work with the line of
FDT sensors.
FDT
successfully entered the aluminum components market in
2004 and now supplies some of the leading retail
companies fittings for their fixtures.
